Mardi Gras isn’t just about beads and boobs. There’s a classy side to this theme, and it involves masks. If you choose to host a masquerade ball this Mardi Gras, do so with a meal that is equally laced in New Orleans flavor. Start things off with some classic crab cakes jazzed up with a kick of red chili. Then serve a large pot of jambaaya, buffet-style, followed by a spread of make-your-own cupcakes with two shades of frosting (purple and green), and plenty of gold accoutrements to sprinkle on top.
