Dinner, Slowly Cooked

Especially if you’re a morning person, you’ll find that the streamlined prep work for a savory beef stew for two won’t set you back too much time as you’re showering and getting ready to run out the door into yet another cold wintry day. And the pay-off is sublime. When you get home from work, back out of that blustery and perhaps rainy January day, the apartment will smell rich with the melding flavors of beef, veggies and red wine. Then just boil some water for noodles and throw together a salad. The cookies, of course, are optional.
