Classic Man-tastic Father’s Day Dinner

Posted by on Sunday Jun 12th, 2011 | Print

When we think of Father’s Day, meat, potatoes, and grill marks come to mind. But contrary to a lot of the manly Father’s Day menus out there, but in fact we think the grill can be left out of it-especially if, in your small kitchen, you don’t have access to one. Anyway, the grill is dad’s territory, and we don’t want him to labor over his own Father’s Day dinner. So instead, we’ve put together a different kind of man-tastic meal-one that involves Mexican flavors, plenty of gooey cheese, vegetables disguised as slaw, and not one, but two kinds of meat. This menu celebrates the kind of casual comfort men love, with food that is more special than Man Burgers, but equally filling, satisfying, and celebratory.

Spicy Black Bean Dip with Chips

Creamy Chicken-Chorizo Casserole

Fennel-Cabbage Slaw

Coffee-Toffee Ice Cream Sandwich Squares
