Chances are we’ve got it all wrong, but for us Northerners, Derby Day means an afternoon of wearing spring clothes and drinking mint juleps. Oh, and betting on horses. We’ve combined elements of Southern fare-pulled pork, corn, and whiskey-with elements of springtime-asparagus, mint, and other herbs. These dishes are great served room temperature, so set them out on your buffet surface of choice, and let the good times roll all day long, until (hopefully) your four-legged-creature of choice crosses the finish line.
