Whipping Cream

If a dessert needs a little something extra, whip some cream. Pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into a large bowl. Add as little as 1 teaspoon confectioners’ sugar and as much as 3 tablespoons, depending on your tastes. Using a whisk or an electric mixer, beat the cream until it’s changed consistency from liquid to solid. When you lift up your whisk or a beater, it should have a white peak. You can flavor the cream with vanilla extract, espresso powder, cinnamon, mint extract, or lemon zest.
