All-Purpose Casual Cocktail Party

A good cocktail party is awesome. People eat, mingle, drink. As a host, you don’t have to provide so much food that you’ll be way outside your budget-which means that the food you do provide can be thoughtfully made and really good. In our guide How To: Host a Finger Food Party we suggest that for every three dishes you serve, one should be a bite, one a dip, and one a type of crostini. Below, we give you one interpretation of that menu-this one is right for about 30 people. For more customization, check out our finger food index.

Dip

Spicy Black Bean Dip (with corn chips)

Bite

Zucchini-Scallion Cakes

Crostini

Sweet Pea & Crab Crostini

Something Sweet

Brownie Bite Petits Fours
