Last spring, Phoebe’s friend Hallie hosted a very well-planned and well-performed murder mystery birthday party for 20 or so costumed characters. In addition to Phoebe’s expertly acted part as the town marshal (in drag), the food was a big part of other memorable moments. Hallie made up a huge pot of meaty chili, a few batches of cornbread, and served both up with plenty of whiskey. It was an excellent combo then, and our version is certain to be a successful party menu for any of your wildest outlaw friends, in character, or not.
